One of the most important non-renewable resources of energy, petrol has been creating havoc in our country for sometime now. On May 24, 2012 oil companies increased Petrol price by the steepest ever Rs 7.54 which left the country fuming and hoards of agitations and political stunts.
Another Petrol Price Cut
June 2 brought some relief as petrol prices were reduced by Rs 2 all over the country and with a few states cutting VAT, this reduced the despair brought on 24th May. Another good news is in the offing. Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has hinted that price of petrol might go down more considering the declining rate of crude oil in the international market. Let’s wait if we hear anything official on this from the oil companies.
