Ola Roadster X Electric Bike Launch on Feb 5, 2025 – Details

The Roadster X, unveiled last year on August 15, will be available with three battery pack options of 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh

Ola Electric has announced the launch of Roadster X on Feb 5, 2025 in the Indian market. Unveiled last year on Aug 15, Ola Roadster X is the brand’s entry-level electric motorcycle available with battery packs of 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh at price points of Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999 and Rs 99,999, respectively. Recently, Bhavish Aggarwal, CMD at Ola Electric, had informed via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that series production of the electric bike has commenced at Ola’s Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.

During the unveiling, it was stated that Ola Roadster X will have a range of 200 km with the 4.5 kWh battery on a single charge. The top speed of the range-topping variant was rated at 124 kmph along with a 0-40 kmph sprint time of 2.8 seconds. The battery is connected to an electric motor which develops top power of 14.7 bhp.

The Roadster X will boast of front disc units with brake by wire technology and combi braking system (CBS). It also gets three riding modes namely Sports, Normal, and Eco. A few other notable features on-board are a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console, cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation (Ola Maps), OTA updates, TPMS, and DIY mode. Ola Roadster X can be locked/unlocked via a Digital Key.

Ola Roadster X will run on the brand’s latest MoveOS 5 which will be rolled out from mid-February onwards. It brings a host of never-seen-before features in the form of Smartwatch App, Smart Park, Bharat Mood, Road Trip Mode powered by Ola Maps, Live Location Sharing, Emergency SOS and much more.

The Roadster X is offered with 17-inch alloy wheels while the suspension duties are helmed by telescopic forks upfront and dual springs at the rear. It is equipped with a single-piece tubular handlebar alongside a long and flat seat. Just so you know, the Roadster Pro electric bike features clip-on handlebars as standard fitment.

Ola Electric had recently introduced the Gen 3 platform for its electric scooters. The company claimed that it has increased power and range by nearly 20 percent while the running cost has come down by 11 percent. This advanced platform comprises mid-drive motor, chain drive and an integrated MCU (Motor Control Unit).
