The company MD & Chairman Bhavish Aggarwal confirmed this development in a post on micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter).
Ola Electric will finally commence the first deliveries of the Roadster X electric motorcycle from May 23, 2025. It was confirmed by Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Ola Electric on the micro-blogging platform X (formerly Twitter). However, it is still not clear whether the first batch of bikes will be delivered to the customers in Bengaluru, where the company is headquartered, or across the country. Ola Roadster X was originally launched in Feb 2025 with three battery pack options namely 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh at introductory price points of Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999 and Rs 94,999, respectively.
“Roadster X deliveries starting this Friday! Excited to see customers experience our bike,” wrote Bhavish in a post on X. The company had announced plans to begin the deliveries of the electric motorcycle from March 2025. However, it got postponed twice due to reasons best known to Ola Electric. The demo units have already arrived at select Ola dealerships and test rides for the buyers have also been initiated.

It is the brand’s entry-level model in the electric motorcycle segment. The base 2.5 kWh variant is claimed to deliver a range of 140 km on a full charge. The mid-spec 3.5 kWh grade is likely to return a range of around 196 km on a single charge. Last but not the least, the top-end 4.5 kWh trim is expected to have a range of 252 km.
Ola Roadster X can be availed in four colour options namely Industrial Silver, Anthracite, Stellar Blue, and Pine Green. All the variants of the e-motorcycle come with a 7 kW mid-drive motor as standard. It has also been equipped with a chain drive and an integrated MCU for keeping the costs in check. The battery pack has received a IP67 waterproof and dust-proof certification.

The electric motorcycle comes loaded with a plethora of bells and whistles in the form of brake-by-wire technology, single-channel ABS, advanced regeneration, cruise control, reverse mode, 4.3-inch LCD colour segmented display with smart connectivity and USB. Powered by the latest MoveOS 5, the electric motorcycle offers multiple riding modes namely Sports, Normal and Eco.
As far as the top speed is concerned, the 2.5 kWh variant touches 105 kmph mark while the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh trims clock around 118 kmph. The 0-40 kmph sprint time for the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh models stand at 3.1 secs. On the other hand, the 2.5 kWh variant takes 3.4 secs in reaching the 40 kmph mark from standstill. Ola Electric has rolled out a standard warranty plan of 3 years/50,000 km for the Roadster X. It will rival Revolt RV400, Matter Aera and Oben Rorr in India.
