Official: Hero Xoom 160 Deliveries Start Later This Month

The Xoom 160 was launched at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Jan at a sticker price of Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India.

Hero MotoCorp has officially announced that the Xoom 160 deliveries will start later this month in the Indian market. It was launched at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year in January at a sticker price of Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Hero Xoom 160 bookings began in Feb 2025 and the first deliveries were promised from Mar 2025. However, this plan couldn’t be executed due to reasons best known to Hero and finally after a prolonged delay of half an year, Hero will start delivering the Xoom 160 to the customers in the coming few weeks. 

Hero Xoom 160 will be the brand’s first high-performance premium scooter in India to rival Yamaha Aerox 155 and TVS Ntorq 150. It will be retailed through the premium network of Hero Premia dealerships across the country. The ‘Xoom’ nameplate in the brand’s scooter portfolio is available with three different engine capacities of 110cc, 125cc and 160cc.

Riding on 14-inch alloy wheels with block pattern tyres, Hero Xoom 160 flaunts dual-chamber LED headlamps and a big windscreen upfront. The riders can also install a touring box for extra luggage, which is available as an after-market accessory. It is offered in four colour options namely Matte Rainforest Green, Canyon Red, Summit White and Matte Volcanic Grey.

The Xoom 160 has a decent ground clearance of 155 mm while the saddle height stands at 787 mm. Tipping the weighing scale at 142 kg, it is nearly 25 kg heavier than the Ntorq 150. It has a fuel tank capacity of 7 litres as compared to the Ntorq 150’s 5.8 litres. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear.

In terms of features, Hero Xoom 160 comes loaded with Smart key with remote seat access, Front disc brake with ABS, and Bluetooth-enabled digital speedometer with Turn-by-Turn navigation. The high-performance scooter will be available in a single fully-loaded ZX variant with bookings now open at Premia dealerships at a token payment of Rs 7,500/- across India.

Mechanically, Hero Xoom 160 is powered by a 156cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 14.6 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 14 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine gets Hero’s i3s silent start technology while equipped with a CVT gearbox and dry clutch.
