Mercedes AMG will get to appoint one of the Board of directors of MV Agusta Motor SPA and the two companies will pool in their resources over marketing and sales. This long term partnership though still needs to be sanctioned by the relevant authorities (which can be expected by late November as per the press release).

The management at MV Agusta believes that this collaboration with Mercedes AMG will help the brand to grow together as both the brands stand for design, high performance and excellence. The uniqueness of the brand which MV Agusta has is hopefully going to help AMG grow as well.

People at Daimler believe that the positioning of AMG as a performance brand in Mercedes Benz will be strengthened further thanks to this deal. They believe that now they can cater to high performance enthusiasts with automobiles as well as motorcycles. The alliance will further allow both the parties to target new prospective customer bases around the globe.

MV Agusta has been growing steadily and the growth rates have been in double digits for the past five years and this collaboration will further boost this. The Agusta brand also owns Cagiva, another renowned Italian motorcycle manufacturer.
