Norton Atlas Accessory List Revealed on Official Website

The adventure motorcycle gets ten official accessories which have been classified into three categories namely Convenience, Protection and Luggage

Norton Motorcycles, the TVS-owned British brand, recently released the engine specs of the Atlas adventure motorcycle. It has already been launched in the UK along with prices and variants. Norton Atlas is also slated to go on sale in the Indian market later this year around the festive season of Diwali (Oct-Nov) through the recently announced ‘Paddock’ premium network of dealerships. Now, the company has unveiled the official accessory list of the Atlas ADV bike along with the prices in the United Kingdom.

The total accessories, listed on the official Norton website, have been divided into three categories namely Convenience, Protection and Luggage. The Convenience category includes a total of four accessories in the form of Integrated Heated Grips (£269), Touring Windscreen (£199), Norton Cornering Lights (£249) and Norton Puddle Light (£99).

On the other hand, the Protection Package lists a total of three accessories namely Engine Guards (£249), All-Terrain Sump Protection Kit (£189) and Front Axle Spindle Protection Kit (£59). Last but not the least, the Luggage category also has three items in the form of Norton 34L Top Case System (£359), Norton 50L Pannier System (£589) and Rear Luggage & Pillion Handle Kit (£179).

We believe that Norton will offer all these accessories with the Atlas in the Indian market as well. Norton Atlas will be available in four colour schemes namely Trophy Silver, Matrix Black, Sinopia Orange and Verona Green. On the other hand, the range-topping Atlas Apex will get an additional Glacier Blue colourway besides the four before mentioned colours.

Norton Atlas will be powered by a 585cc parallel twin liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 69 bhp at 9,300 rpm and peak torque of 57.5 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The engine’s cylinder surface has been coated with segment best APS (atmospheric plasma spray) while it features a 78 mm bore, a 61.2 mm stroke and a 270° crankshaft configuration.

Norton Atlas and Atlas GT will be locally developed at the TVS factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu in India. The India-made motorcycles will also be exported to several global markets. The Atlas is likely to come with a starting price of around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) despite heavy levels of localization. It will rival the Kawasaki Versys 650, Honda NX500 and BMW F 450 GS.
