The new-gen Pulsar 125 will come with visual updates, modern features and a new engine in the Indian market
Bajaj Auto had earlier confirmed with a teaser image that the new-gen Pulsar Classic range on August 12, 2026 in the Indian market. Now, ahead of the official launch, the new Pulsar 125 has been spotted at a company dealership, giving away all the visual updates, new features and engine specs. The new-gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 will directly rival Hero Xtreme 125R, Honda CB125 Hornet and TVS Raider 125 in the Indian market. It could witness a minor upward revision in price as the ongoing model is priced at Rs 92,341 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
First things first, the new-gen Pulsar 125 sits on a brand spanking new chassis as hinted by the spied model earlier this year. The present model comes with a double-cradle frame while the new-gen version is likely to use a single-downtube setup. In addition, the dual-shock rear suspension has gone for a toss in favour of a new monoshock unit.
However, it will continue to carry the telescopic front forks as standard. The 17-inch alloy wheels carry the same design as the current Pulsar 125 and N125, albeit with MRF tyres. The stopping power will come from front disc and rear drum brakes. The new-gen Pulsar 125 captured on camera at Bajaj showroom boasts of a long single-piece seat. However, there could also be a split-seat variant too.
Last but not the least, we can notice a premium gear lever which resembles the toe-only shifter sans the heel of the older Pulsar Classic models. The overall design is retained with the signature fuel tank and tank shrouds. But, the company has introduced completely redesigned side panels while the rear profile is quite sleek as compared to the current-gen Pulsar 125.
The new-gen Pulsar 125 will continue with the halogen units in the turn indicators. Bajaj Auto has replaced the old instrument cluster with a coloured LCD unit, which is likely to be presented with Bluetooth connectivity. It is still not confirmed whether the bike will be offered with a single-channel ABS or not. The bookings for the new-gen Pulsar 125 can begin in the coming week.
At the heart, the new-gen Pulsar 125 could house an all-new engine as we can see in these pics. The powertrain at the helm gets new casings and exhaust header routing. Even the overall shape hints at a fresh engine. Just so you know, the current-gen Pulsar 125 is equipped with a 124.4cc single-cylinder petrol engine which is capable of churning out 11.8 hp and 10.8 Nm.
