New Bajaj Pulsar N160 UG Launched at Rs 1.24 Lakh

The new variant in the Pulsar N160 line-up is offered with golden-coloured USD front forks and a single-piece seat as standard

Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of the Pulsar N160 at a sticker price of Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. It is introduced with golden-coloured USD front forks and a single-piece seat. The new Bajaj Pulsar N160 UG will be on sale in four colour schemes namely Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red, Polar Sky Blue, and Black. The new variant will be available at dealerships across India from today onwards while positioned above the standard version which is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Bajaj claimed that when the Pulsar N160 was launched with a split-seat setup, it received a decent reception. However, research later revealed that a significant share of N160 buyers were families who preferred a single seat. Hence, this new variant with single-piece seat and USD front suspension was introduced at a premium of just Rs 7,000 over the standard variant.

Speaking on the launch, Sarang Kanade, President, MCBU, Bajaj Auto Ltd said, “The new Pulsar N160 with gold USD forks and a single seat has been developed from customer insights and our commitment to the evolving needs of the industry. This upgrade delivers enhanced comfort, with a premium stance while staying the N series represents – power, precision, control, along with an unmatched riding experience. We hope to induct a generation of Pulsarmaniacs with the new Pulsar N160, and introduce them to the world of the Definitely Daring”

Besides the new front suspension and seat, the Pulsar N160 UG remains unchanged in terms of features, hardware and engine specs. It carries the same bells and whistles in the form of USB mobile charging port, Bi-functional LED projector headlamp, and Turn-by-Turn navigation & ABS ride modes. The bike has a ground clearance of 165 mm while tipping the weighing scale at 152 kg.

The fuel tank capacity stands at 14 litres. The split-seat height is pegged at 795 mm and we believe that the single-piece seat will have a relatively lower height. The rear suspension duties are performed by a nitrox monoshock unit. The stopping power comes from disc brakes at both ends which work alongside the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
