The new teaser by Bajaj features the sound of a motorcycle’s exhaust pipe which suggests that it might be the 2025 Pulsar RS200
Bajaj Auto has teased a new motorcycle on its official Instagram handle. The teaser video features a caption which reads, “The sound is enough. You already know what it is.. Or do you?”. The teaser plays the exhaust note of the upcoming bike and the sound indicates that it is likely to be powered by a KTM-sourced liquid-cooled engine. It is also speculated that the teased motorcycle is the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 which will be launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January. However, a section of the media is also claiming that it is the bigger Pulsar RS400.
Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was considered a charmer among the motorcycle enthusiasts due to its Bumblebee-inspired front fascia. For those asking, Bumblebee is a fictional robotic character in the highly popular sci-fi movie series Transformers. Although the company can still give a handful of cosmetic updates to the new bike such as refreshed LED tail lights and new alloy wheels. In fact, it could also introduce a few new colours with the bike, including the return of the iconic Yellow paint shade.
The Pulsar RS200 is a fully-faired motorcycle which comes with a windscreen as well. However, the 2025 model could be offered with a taller unit as standard for the convenience of the taller riders. The semi-digital instrument console could also be updated with features like Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation which are missing from the ongoing model.
Bajaj had introduced an adjustable clutch and brake levers with the Pulsar NS400Z which is also touted as the Biggest Ever Pulsar. We expect both of these features in the top-end variants of the upcoming 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200. The current model boasts of RSU telescopic front forks and the company might replace them with new USD telescopic units in the new version as it suits the motorcycle’s perimeter frame better.
Mechanically, the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is expected to come with the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which will be borrowed from KTM. The engine churns out max power of 24 bhp and peak torque of 18.7 Nm while paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Since the new version of the bike will get advanced features, modern tech and premium colours, we expect it to be priced higher than the ongoing Pulsar RS200 which comes at Rs 1.74 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Pulsar RS200 could be Bajaj’s showstopper at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January in New Delhi. The Pune-based two-wheeler brand could also unveil several more new motorcycles alongside the RS200 at the event.
