We connected with the company officials and queried for this difference. Here is what the response was…

“The price quoted in Oct 2015 for the Brutale 1090, i.e 17.99 Lakhs was a tentative pricing. The final pricing for the same is 19.3 Lakhs Ex Showroom.”

MV Agusta, the legendary Italian motorcycle manufacturer, made its foray in India in 2015 with official distributor and service partner Kinetic and the bookings of  the Brutale 1090 are already underway. As we told you earlier, the final price of Brutale 1090 is Rs 19.3 lakhs ex-showroom, Pune and is introductory. The motorcycle is brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

Brutale is powered by an in-line four cylinder 1,078 cc mill which produces 142.1 bhp of maximum power at 10,300 rpm and 112 Nm of peak torque at  rpm. With a dry weight of just 183 kg she can hit a top speed of 265 kmph. The fuel tank is a respectable 23 litre unit, the ground clearance is 140 mm and the seat height is slightly on the higher side at 825 mm.

Redefining the concept of naked bikes, the Brutale 1090 also gets an RR version which pumps out an increased output of 156.2 bhp of power and 100 Nm of torque. The bike gets a 6 speed cassette type gearbox while the RR variant gets a slipper clutch as well. 

Brutale 1090 can be easily be booked via the company website which can be accessed here. Kinetic Group which operates as ‘Motoroyale’ plans to launch 6 outlets in North, South and West of India. The excitement level has been so high that the company tells us – just via their Facebook page they have managed to garner over 100 enquiries.

The Brutale 1090 in India will be delivered within 20 days of making the bookings to the first 10 customers. It must be known that no MV Agusta motorcycle has been delivered in India till now.
