List of Upcoming Motorcycle & Scooter Launches in October 2015

The time before Diwali is usually all about new products hitting the market. The Indian two-wheeler industry is no different this year. A lot of products/new variants have been launched in the last few weeks and this month we will see at least three new launches apart from variants and special editions.

Here’s a list of all the launches that are planned for the month of October 2015. We will update this list as and when we will get to know about others…

  • Mahindra Mojo:
  • Expected Launch Date: 16th October
  • Expected Price: Rs 1.8 Lakh on road

The biggest launch of the month will be Mahindra’s overtly long awaited Mojo. Showcased back in 2010, the bike can rise as a dark horse to take its due honours. The single cylinder near 300 cc (~292 cc) mill is expected to produce 27 bhp of maximum power and 30 Nm of peak torque, however these figures are not confirmed by the company yet.

Touted and promoted as a tourer, Mojo gets a very impressive 21 litre fuel tank and super sticky Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tyres. Bookings of the Mahindra’s flagship are on and the bike is also available for test ride in four cities. More Details

  • Hero Duet:
  • Expected Launch Date: After 13th October
  • Expected Price: Rs 47,000 – Rs 50,000 ex-showroom Delhi

At the recent press conference, Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Maestro Edge and Duet. While the Maestro Edge will go on sale from October 13, Duet’s rollout is expected to follow soon after that. Expected to be placed under the Maestro Edge, the Duet is powered by the same 110.9 cc mill developed in-house. It produces 8.31 bhp of maximum power and 8.30 Nm of peak torque.

  • Bajaj Avenger:
  • Expected Launch Date: Sometime during the month
  • Expected Price: Rs 80,000 – Rs 90,000 ex-showroom Delhi

The most affordable cruiser in the market is expected to get a fairly decent makeover and the recent series of spyshots and speculations have suggested that there may be more than one variant on offer. Featured above is the ‘Avenger Street’ which resembles the Harley Street 750 and gets alloy wheels, black theme apart from other changes.

The confirmation on the engine bits is still pending, but in both the spyshots, the motor doesn’t seem to be the 200 cc triple spark engine from the Pulsar NS200/AS200. More Details & Spyshots
