Ducati Launches Hypermotard 950 at 11.99 Lakh

Ducati has officially launched the Hypermotard 950 in India and it will replace the Hypermotard 939. This Supermoto comes with the same 937 cc twin cylinder engine but Ducati says it has been ‘radically revised’ and it churns out 114 hp of peak power at 9000 rpm (4 hp more than 939) and 96 Nm of maximum torque at 7250 rpm (1 Nm higher than 939). The motor itself is lighter by 1.5 kg now.

It comes with twin under-seat exhausts and the the motorcycle has lost 4 kg as a result of the new variable-section tube Trellis frame, new rims, light weight Marzocchi forks with aluminium fork bodies etc. It also comes with a revised handlebar and new seat which has changed the riding position of the rider.

The motorcycle comes equipped with 17 inch Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres – 120/70 front and 180/55 rear. In terms of features it is equipped with Bosch 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Bosch Cornering ABS with Slide by Brake function, Ducati Traction Control EVO, and Ducati Wheelie Control EVO. Ducati Quick Shift is available as an accessory.

The Hypermotard 950 has been priced at Rs 11.99 Lakh ex-showroom Pan-India which is higher by around Rs 80,000 than the 939. Bookings are open at all Ducati dealerships in India and deliveries are expected to commence in the coming weeks.
