KTM Duke 160 Gets 5-inch TFT Display, Priced at Rs 1.79 Lakh

The new variant of the KTM Duke 160 is rolled out with 5-inch coloured TFT display, Turn-by-turn navigation and Incoming calls notification

KTM India has launched a new variant of the Duke 160 with 5-inch coloured TFT display in the country. Priced at Rs 1.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is nearly Rs 8,000 more expensive than the base variant of the bike. KTM Duke 160 with the 5-inch instrument cluster gives the riders access to several features such as Bluetooth connectivity, Turn-by-turn navigation and Incoming calls notification. Besides this update, the rest of the motorcycle remains the same in terms of design, features and engine specs.

Speaking on the update, Manik Nangia, President, Probiking said, “With the new TFT display, the KTM 160 Duke becomes even more intuitive and engaging to ride. This upgrade reinforces KTM’s focus on combining sharp performance with advanced rider technology in an accessible package.” The all-new 5-inch TFT display comes with bonded glass while it is the same unit that we saw on the Duke 390.

KTM has also installed a new switch cube, with 4-way menu switches to operate the TFT display and perform various functions, including Smartphone connectivity. The riders can answer incoming calls, play music and use turn-by-turn navigation by pairing the instrument panel with KTM My-Ride app via Bluetooth. The KTM Connect app also provides important motorcycle data and information.

While the riders have the option of accepting or rejecting an incoming call using the mode switch on the TFT display, they are not allowed to access phone contacts and make outgoing calls as a safety measure. The bike can also be paired with a Bluetooth helmet headset for listening to music on the go. The riders can even toggle between tracks on a playlist, music archive and control the volume using the left handlebar-mounted menu switch.

The Duke 160’s 5-inch TFT panel also enables the riders to switch on and off the Supermoto ABS for the rear wheel. The shift and limit rpm modes can also be customized by the left handlebar-mounted menu switch. There are two themes on offer for the 5-inch screen in the form of dark and orange. The TFT display also showcases a clear layout of menus, options, and infographics.
