KTM 390 Adventure has been captured on camera in a new Black paint scheme while it gets a hike in price by Rs 7000-8000 in our country
KTM 390 Adventure with the 350cc engine has been spotted in a black paint scheme at a company dealership in the Indian market. The highly popular middleweight ADV bike is already available in white and orange colour options. In addition, the Bajaj-owned European brand has hiked the prices of the entire 390 Adventure range by up to Rs 7,000 in our country. It now starts at Rs 2.88 lakh for the 350cc engine models while the range-topping Adventure S with the 399cc LC4 engine costs Rs 4.05 lakh. Both the prices are ex-showroom.
The new black colourway is likely to be christened as ‘Ebony Black’ while it will be reserved for the variants equipped with the 350cc engine. It will serve as the only single-tone colour in the 390 Adventure range as the White shade gets contrasting orange tinges at various places and vice-versa. KTM is yet to officially launch this new colour in India.
The black shade serves as the base along with champagne gold while we can also see a bit of orange in the sleek outline near the KTM logo. Furthermore, the Adventure badging also features an orange outline. Since KTM has not shared any official press note regarding this new colour, it is unclear whether it will be rolled out as the third paint shade or replace any of the two existing colourways.
KTM 390 Adventure is available with the 349cc single-cylinder engine which has been carved out of the existing 399 LC4 powertrain. The downsized version releases top power of 41.5 hp and peak torque of 33.5 Nm while paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Apart from the new colour scheme, the hardware, features and engine have been retained in the adventure motorcycle.
Coming to the price hike, the base variant sees an upward revision of Rs 7,000. Earlier priced at Rs 2.81 lakh, KTM 390 Adventure STD will now be available at Rs 2.88 lakh (ex-showroom). Similarly, the 390 ADV X price has been increased by Rs 7,000 from the existing Rs 3.43 lakh to Rs 3.50 lakh. Both these variants are equipped with the 350cc engine.
Last but not the least, the 390 Adventure R and 390 Adventure S witnessed a surge in pricing by Rs 8,000. The R trim, earlier priced at Rs 3.78 lakh, will now be retailed at 3.86 lakh. On the other hand, the top-end S variant price has reached Rs 4.05 lakh from Rs 3.97 lakh. Both the 390 Adventure R and S grades are powered by the 399cc LC4 engine.
