KTM India has slashed the price of the 250 Duke by Rs 20,000 in the country and now it comes at Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This benefit is valid till Dec 31 for the buyers on all three color choices namely Dark Galvano, Electric Orange and Atlantic Blue. The Austria-based bikemaker had recently introduced the updated version of the 250 Duke with a new headlamp unit with boomerang-shaped LED DRL and 5-inch LCD instrument console. Both of these features were borrowed from the 390 Duke while the motorcycle was priced at Rs 2.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market.
KTM 250 Duke also boasts of two ride modes in the form of the Street and Track. The updated instrument console of the motorcycle comes with Bluetooth Smartphone connectivity which offers turn-by-turn navigation and music functions. Just so you know, the revised pricing of Rs 2.25 lakh makes the 250 Duke expensive by only Rs 8,000 than the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250.
KTM 250 Duke is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled LC4C petrol engine which generates maximum power of 30 bhp at 9,250 rpm and peak torque of 25 Nm at 7,250 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with power assisted slipper clutch. Some of the notable features in the motorcycle include Bosch dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode, Quickshifter + and Underbelly exhaust.
Based on a split-trellis frame, KTM 250 Duke gets 320 mm disc brake with radially mounted calliper at front and 240 mm rear disc brake with floating calliper as standard. The bike has a kerb weight of 162.8 kg while the fuel tank capacity is 15 litres. The brand is offering Rs 20k year-end discount on the motorcycle to accentuate footfall in dealerships and enhance sales numbers.
Meanwhile, KTM had quite an exuberant time at the recently concluded EICMA 2024 in Italy as it unveiled multiple new motorcycles at the event. The company also showcased the India-bound 2025 KTM 390 Adventure at the Milan Motor Show. It is almost confirmed that the new 390 Adventure range with X and R models will have its India debut at the 2024 India Bike Week in Goa, which starts from Dec 6.
The 390 Adventure R is an off-roading oriented variant of the motorcycle which rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. It comes with a fully-colored TFT screen and cornering ABS as standard features. On the other hand, the 390 Adventure X is meant for city and highway rides as it misses out on multiple advanced feature in the form of adjustable suspension setup, cornering ABS and coloured TFT instrument console.
