The Kinetic E Luna Prime is an entry-level commuter electric motorcycle for personal mobility as well as business purposes
Kinetic Green has launched the E Luna Prime at a starting price of Rs 82,490 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Presented in the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment in two variants, it will be available for sale at all the company authorized dealerships. Kinetic E Luna Prime will directly rival Ola Roadster X 2 kWh in the domestic market. Kinetic Green claims that the E Luna Prime comes with an ultra-low running cost of merely 10 paise per kilometer while the overall ownership cost is approx Rs 2,500 per month including EMI and running expense.
The Luna E Prime flaunts a LED headlamp and visor upfront along with trendy styling elements in the form of body decals, tim tape and silver finish side cladding. It gets a single-piece long seat while riding on 16-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The electric motorcycle boasts of a digital colored instrument cluster. The buyers can purchase the Luna E Prime in six colour schemes.
Kinetic Luna E Prime offers a range of 110 km and 140 km on a single charge, depending upon the variant. The brand claims that it is the best alternative to the conventional 100cc and 110cc ICE motorcycles in terms of performance. With an average monthly ownership cost of Rs 2,500 against the Rs 7,500 of ICE models, it translates into annual savings of Rs 60,000 for the customers.
Kinetic Luna E Prime comes with a spacious front-loading area for carrying goods, which makes it capable for other purposes too such as cargo, business operations, and utility services. The company also stated that it has sold more than 25,000 units of the E-Luna in the last few months since its launch in the country through its dealership network of 300+ showrooms.
Kinetic Green states that it is targeting approx 750 million Indian citizens, who do not own any two-wheeler presently, with the Luna E Prime. These Indians with no two-wheeler ownership make almost half of the country’s population. Though the company has not mentioned the battery pack and electric motor details in the press note, we expect this info to be released soon on the Kinetic Green website.
