Kinetic DX returns in an all-electric avatar with two variants and the highest range of 116 km on a single charge in the Indian market.
Kinetic Engineering Ltd. has launched the DX electric scooter in the Indian market. Presented in two trims namely DX and DX+ at price points of Rs 1.11 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh (Both prices are ex-showroom, Pune), respectively, it comes loaded with multiple first-in-segment features. Kinetic DX electric scooter bookings start from today at its official website on a token payment of Rs 1000/- while first deliveries are promised from Sep 2025. The pre-bookings are limited to 35,000 units of the DX e-scooter in the domestic market.
While the base DX grade is available in Silver and Black colour schemes, the top-end DX+ trim is offered in five paint choices namely Red, Blue, White, Silver and Black. Kinetic DX electric scooter retains the silhouette of the original KiHo DX from the 80s-90s while getting a metal body and bigger floorboard. The styling has been carried out by Italy-based Torino design, which is Kinetic’s partner.

Kinetic claims that the DX e-scooter boasts of best-in-segment under-seat storage capacity of 37 litres which is adequate to swallow 1 full and 1 half helmet along with some small belongings. The Pune-based EV brand has also equipped the electric scooter with Easy Flip function which deploys the pillion footrest by just pressing a button.
Some of the other notable features on Kinetic DX include Easy Key, Easy Charge (DX+), reverse mode and hill hold. The suspension duties are helmed by telescopic front forks and adjustable rear shock absorbers. The stopping power comes from a 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake with combi-braking system. There are three ride modes on offer in the form of Range, Power and Turbo.

The DX e-scooter can be paired with Smartphone through a dedicated mobile app which is packed with advanced Telekinetic features such as real-time ride stats and vehicle data, Geo-fencing, Intruder alert, Find My Kinetic, and Track My Kinetic among others. The My Kiney Companion voice alerts even wishes the rider on their birthday. The electric scooter comes with a Kinetic Assist switch for instantly connecting the CRM via Bluetooth to enable music and voice navigation features.
Kinetic DX houses a 2.6 kWh LFP battery pack, developed by Range-X, which the company claims has four times more life than any other NMC battery pack. It returns an IDC range of 116 km on a full charge with tech like K-Coast regenerative technology onboard. The e-scooter has a top speed of 90 kmph. Speaking about the vision behind the DX EV, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman, Kinetic India said, “The legendary Kinetic DX set so many firsts back in the ’90s, that it earned a permanent place in the hearts of millions.
