Kinetic DX electric scooter will be presented with multiple battery pack options, fast-charging compatibility and advanced IoT capabilities.
Kinetic Green has announced the launch of the DX electric scooter on July 28, 2025 in the Indian market. Recently, the brand has confirmed that it will introduce three high-speed mass-market electric two-wheelers in our country by 2026 end. This will be the first model out of the three planned for India by Kinetic in the next 18 months. The company calls it, ‘Rebirth of a Legend’ and rightly so, as the original Kinetic Honda (KiHo) DX was an iconic scooter in every sense as it ruled the streets in India during the era of 80-90s.
Coming to the Kinetic DX electric scooter, it was spied testing a few days back while wearing camouflage. It is likely to be a modern reincarnation of the legendary KiHo DX with an electric powertrain. Based on the brand’s latest “Thoughtful Engineering” philosophy, it will come with multiple battery pack options and the range will vary from variant to variant.

The Kinetic DX electric will also support fast-charging as several other modern scooters from Suzuki, Ather and Hero. The brand has confirmed that it will be presented in a retro look with the Italy-based Torino Design at the helm of affairs. For reference, Kinetic has formed a strategic partnership with Torino and all its upcoming electric models will be designed by the Italian design firm.
The DX e-scooter will get a TFT display with advanced IoT capabilities. Kinetic has co-developed an advanced digital platform with Jio Things which will debut with the DX electric scooter. The overall styling will be based on the Born Electric design philosophy as claimed by the company with several radical elements.

Though it is not in public domain yet, we believe the Kinetic DX to boast of a hub-mounted electric motor as the TVS iQube. The suspension duties could be carried by a telescopic fork upfront and dual-shock rear absorbers with a box-type swingarm. It will directly compete with Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ola S1 in the Indian market.
Kinetic DX electric scooter could be priced above Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). The company already has the e-Luna in the budget-friendly segment of electric two-wheelers. It has been just three and a half years since Kinetic ventured into the e2w segment in the Indian market. Hence, it will be interesting to see the upcoming models from the brand.
