Kawasaki ZX10R and ZX14R Start Rolling On Indian streets

Kawasaki’s exclusive showroom at Wakdewadi, Pune has begun the official delivery of the big guns- ZX10R and ZX14R. As per a report by Overdrive.in,  deliveries have started from last week with the first batch seeing around four deliveries with the first ZX10R for Delhi delivered last Sunday.

The flagship hyper bikes of Kawasaki were launched in September and are now retailed via the standalone Kawasaki dealership at Wakdewadi, Pune. Imported as a CBU from Japan, Kawasaki plans to market 100 Units/year of these mean machines.

The most advanced litre class bike- Kawasaki ZX10R features a 998cc liquid cooled in-line 4 engine that delivers 200PS power and 112Nm torque. Max power output with Ram Air increases to 209.9 PS. Power deliver is linear while transmission is taken care by a 6 speed gearbox. Top speed is 290 kmph whereas 0-100 is achieved in about 2.85 seconds. The appealing bike lines up against Yamaha R1, Honda Fireblade and Suzuki GS1000RR in the litre class bikes.

As the fastest production bike in the world, ZX14R breathes through a massive 1441cc liquid cooled inline 4 engine that pumps out 200PS power and 162.5Nm torque, with Ram Air filter, it delivers 210 PS.  Accelerating from 0-100 kmph in less than 3 seconds, this monster has electronically limited top speed of 299 kmph. When not limited it can easily breach the 350km/h speed barrier.  The only competition for the hyper bike comes from Suzuki Hayabusa, which it dethroned to become the fastest production bike that is street legal.

Marketed independently by Kawasaki in India the bike received strong reception from the biking enthusiasts.  The ZX10R and ZX14R carry a price tag of Rs 15.70 lakhs and Rs 16.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune) respectively and the next batch of deliveries is expected by December.
