Kawasaki Versys X 300 Launch Price Rs 3.80 Lakh – All Key Details

The Versys X 300 is presented in the middleweight adventure motorcycle segment to rival KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Kawasaki India has launched the Versys X 300 at a sticker price of Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The entry-level adventure motorcycle from the Japanese two-wheeler brand is making a comeback in the Indian market after a gap of a few years. The 2025 Kawasaki Versys X 300 returns to our country with a refreshed graphic package, new colour options and OBD-2B compliant engine. The ADV bike will initially be sold as CBU in India, contrary to the claims that it will be manufactured locally here.

The India-bound model is identical to the global-spec version of the Versys X 300 in terms of styling and appearance. The primary design highlights include single units halogen headlamp, tall windscreen, upswept exhaust pipe and a bigger fuel tank with extensions. It can be availed in Pearl Horizon White single-tone colour while a dual-tone paint scheme is also on offer in the form of Candy Lime Green + Metallic Flat Spark Black.

Since it is an adventure motorcycle, Kawasaki has equipped the Versys X 300 with multiple such elements like mid-mounted footpegs, stepped single-piece seat, raised handlebars and upright riding position. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels. Tipping the scale at 185 kg, Kawasaki Versys X 300 has a ground clearance of 180 mm.

The Versys X 300 misses out on LED headlamps and turn indicators. It is presented with a semi-digital instrument cluster with no Bluetooth connectivity. In fact, a few other advanced features such as knuckle guards, panniers and fog lights are also not available as standard fitment. The braking duties are carried out by petal disc units at front and rear with dual-channel ABS.

Mechanically, it is powered by the same engine as the Ninja 300. The OBD-2B compliant 296cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine develops top power of 40 bhp and peak torque of 26 Nm while linked to a 6-speed transmission with a slip & assist clutch. The frame is suspended by front telescopic forks and a rear mono shock unit.

Kawasaki Versys X 300 will directly challenge KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in the Indian market. It is around Rs 12,000 more expensive than its KTM counterpart while the Himalayan 450 is nearly Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Versys X 300 with price ranging between Rs 2.85-2.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
