Karizma, Hunk and Other Hero Bikes to Roam Around in Central America

The world’s largest two wheeler maker – Hero MotoCorp has now marked its foray into the Central American market. The company yesterday launched the brand ‘Hero’ and its range of two-wheelers in Guatemala City, El Salvador and Honduras, marking the iconic Indian brand’s first foray into new international markets.

The company was mentioning about this move for quite a long time and the day has finally come for them to take this giant leap from its end.

According t the company’s latest press release, Hero MotoCorp also announced a partnership with the reputed Indy Motos Group of Guatemala to bring its two-wheelers to these markets. Under the alliance, Indy Motos has been appointed as the authorized distributor of Hero MotoCorp range of two-wheelers in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. These products will be distributed through a network of outlets spread across these countries, with more new outlets to be added subsequently.

Mr. Pawan Munjal, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, launched brand ‘Hero’ here in the presence of Mr. Danello Siekavizza, Director, Indy Motos.

At the ceremony, Mr. Munjal said, “This launch is a significant milestone for us considering this is the first of the new international markets where we are starting our operations. It is indicative of the significant role that markets in Central America and Latin America will play in our global expansion plans. It gives me immense pleasure to announce Indy Motos as our partner for Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. I am sure that their rich experience in this market and knowledge of the local customer will go a long way towards further strengthening our business here.

He also added, “Our vision is to provide convenient, fuel-efficient mobility to every customer in this market, and with our wide range of products, we are committed to serving two-wheeler customers across this region. We are confident our products will appeal to customers across a wide price spectrum and create a new benchmark for mass mobility in the continent.”

Hero MotoCorp will also soon commence its operations in other new international markets in Latin & Central America and Africa in order to reach the stated objective of 10 per cent of its total volumes from international business in the next four to five years. Hero MotoCorp currently exports to few countries which includes Colombia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
