The year 2021 is being celebrated as Swarnim Vijay Varsh to commemorate the victory of Indian armed forces in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. So as a part of the year long celebrations, Jawa motorcycles has partnered with the Indian Army to organize commemorative rides throughout the country to celebrate the valor of our servicemen.
The latest in the series of rides was the right to Longewala, a border town in the Thar desert in the western part of Jaisalmer District in Rajasthan. The Battle of Longewala played an important part in the victory of the 1971 war. The rally kicked off from Koteshwar (the westernmost point of Gujarat) and proceeded to Longewala covering a total of 1495 KM over 8 days starting from 29th of November and ending on 5th of December.
Throughout the course of the rally, the riders of the Indian Army, Navy, Indian Air force, Border Security Force and the Coast Guard connected with the Veer Naaris, War Veterans and ESM in the Corps Zone. They also rekindled the victory and valor of the Indian armed forces in this famous battle.
Upcoming Jawa Cruiser; Front Spied First Time
Jawa Motorcycles’ participation in the Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebration strengthens the brands Forever Heroes Initiative. Under this initiative and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1971 War, Jawa earlier in the year introduced special colors – Khaki and Midnight Grey.
The Forever Heroes was initiated by Classic Legends (owners of Jawa Motorcycles) to inculcate a sense of gratitude towards the Armed Forces of our country. Right from its initiation, the company has been developing a culture of values to appreciate the efforts and sacrifices that help keep the country safe, peaceful and prosperous.
The company formally announced this initiative back in the year 2019 to contribute to the cause of welfare of Armed Forces personnel and their next of kin.
