India-bound 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS Unveiled

The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is expected to launch in the Indian market in the second half of this year

Triumph Motorcycle has taken the wraps of the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS in the global markets. The India-bound motorcycle is more powerful than before while featuring new technology and a sportier appearance. The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS deliveries will arrive in showrooms from April 2025. It will be at loggerheads with Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Z900RS, BMW R nineT Scrambler and Ducati StreetFighter V2 in the Indian market. The British brand has announced a starting price of £17,495 (Around Rs 19 lakh) for the bike.

The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS is presented with a sculpted fuel tank, sharp lines and the signature twin headlights. The single sided swingarm has been carried over from the preceding model. It also boasts of an aluminum twin-spar frame, new seat cowl, bar end mirrors, narrow seat profile and lightweight wheels. The bike tips the scale at just 199 kg with fuel and hence it is regarded as one of the lightest bikes in the segment. The motorcycle is available in a Jet Black single-tone colour while two dual-tone paint shades are also on offer in the form of Granite and Diablo Red, and Granite and Performance Yellow.

The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS gets the latest-generation of Öhlins SmartEC3 semi-active electronic suspension setup as standard, which comes with Objective Based Tuning Interface (OBTi). It constantly keeps an eye and accordingly adjusts the suspension damping characteristics. The bike rides on 17-inch Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres while thr stopping power comes from a pair of Brembo Stylema calipers with an MCS lever. Some of the notable features in the motorcycle include Front Wheel Lift Control, Engine Braking Control, Brake Slide Control and Fully Adjustable Cruise Control.

The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS comes with five riding modes namely Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider. Furthermore, it has been equipped with Optimised Cornering ABS, Switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control, and Triumph Shift Assist up and down quickshifter as standard fitments. A special mention goes to the 5-inch TFT instrument console which displays all the key information while controlled by a 5-way joystick and backlit switches. The Smartphone can be paired with the My Triumph Connectivity System via Bluetooth to enable turn-by-turn navigation, as well as phone and music control.

The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS boasts of keyless operations for the ignition, handle lock and fuel filler cap which can be disabled by the rider with a single button press. The buyers can also opt for the new Akrapovič silencer, which features a titanium outer wrap and mounting bracket, finished with a carbon fibre end cap and laser etched Akrapovič logo.

Mechanically, it is powered by a 1160 cc 3-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which delivers 3 bhp more power and 3 Nm more torque than before. The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS now has top power of 181 bhp at 10,750 rpm and highest torque of 128 Nm at 8,750 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed transmission with slip & assist clutch.
