BMW R 18 range comprises of five models namely R 18, R 18 Classic, R 18 Roctane, R 18 B and R 18 Transcontinental. The company forayed into the cruiser motorcycle segment nearly five years back with the launch of the R 18, which was followed by the R 18 Classic. A year later in 2021, R 18 Transcontinental and the R 18 B joined the line-up while R 18 Roctane went on sale in 2023. This is the first major update for the R 18 range since launch.

One of the biggest updates comes in form of the 18-inch rear wheel which replaces the 16-inch unit in the preceding model. The wheel design now flaunts seven double spokes as standard. Though customers can also choose the optional Contrast Cut wheels. Moreover, the buyers can still opt for the 16-inch spoked rear wheel as an option. It gets a new rear silencer with circular cross-section while the removable single seat comes with thicker padding and it can be released via push button which is hidden under the cover.
