Hopcharge is Bringing Fast Charging For EVs Straight To Doorsteps

Hopcharge have announced that they have successfully finished their pilot run in parts of Gurgaon and have launched their full range of EV charging services starting from Gurgaon itself. Additionally, they are aiming to deploy their services in all major metropolitan cities in the upcoming months. 

Hopcharge is a Gurgaon based startup, founded in 2019, that is working to bring their charging system consisting of connected and portable power banks with high power charging capabilities specifically designed for EVs directly to their customers’ doorstep. They are offering a virtual energy cloud for EV owners which synchronizes with the grid to balance the supply and demand of energy in a time and space distributed manner.

The startup explains they are “addressing the challenges of unavailability of charging facilities, slow charging at home and productive time being consumed in charging vehicles”. They are deploying their unique made-in-India, patented, rapid charging technology that enables modular and mobile charging infrastructure that mimics local grid which in result minimises expensive grid upgrade and saves productive time for EV owners. 

Hopcharge is offering multiple ad-hoc and subscription models like HopechargeX and/or Hopcharge Xpresso, through which their consumers can book for on-demand charging of their EV at their respective location. They say that their their subscription models are designed around customers’ charging needs.

Hopcharge claims their patented technology ensures a healthy battery life to reduce the overall cost of ownership and Zero downtime or loss of productive hours of consumers. Their users can avail of the service through the Android/iOS app. 

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Arjun Singh (Co-Founder and CEO at Hopcharge) said –

”We have created Hopcharge as a plug and play fast-charging network that is available any day anytime anywhere in the city. Since it’s a charging station coming to the EV users instead of the other way around, it frees up the Ev user while we charge the EV, plus it saves them the hassle of sanctioning load, installing, and maintaining it”.
