Both the made-in-India XR 300 adventure motorcycles will be sold through Honda BigWing dealerships in the Indian market
Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the XR 300L and XR 300 Rally at price points of Rs 1.83 lakh and Rs 2.08 lakh, respectively, in the country. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom. Both the ADV motorcycles were showcased in July 2026 in the Indian market. Honda XR 300L as well as Honda XR 300 Rally will be sold through the brand’s BigWing dealerships. The adventure bike duo will be locally manufactured in India by the Japanese brand. The bookings for both the ADV motorcycles have officially started in the local market.
Likely to be sitting on the same platform as the CB300F, the XR 300 duo is in direct competition with Hero Xpulse 210, Kawasaki KLX230 and TVS Apache RTX 300. Honda claims that the XR 300L dual-purpose motorcycle is “made for those who live for the thrill of the trail. Mud, gravel, sand or rock.” It comes with front and rear disc brakes while a switchable dual-channel ABS is also offered as standard feature.
Honda XR 300L gets a gas-charged pro-link rear suspension and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). It is powered by a 293.5cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine which we have seen in the CB300F. Though the power and torque figures have not been updated on the Honda website yet, we expect the XR 300L to make 24.1 bhp and 25.6 Nm. Needless to mention, the XR 300L comes fitted with wire-spoke wheels and off-road biased tyres.

While the XR 300L is an out-and-out off-roader for all-terrain riding, the XR 300 Rally is more of an adventure tourer with focus on long-distance trail touring. Inspired by Honda’s rally heritage, it is rolled out with rally-inspired styling, comfort-oriented equipment and wind protection. The brand states that the XR 300 Rally is “born from Honda’s Dakar-winning rally DNA”.
Some of the notable features onboard the XR 300 Rally are front and rear disc brakes, switchable dual-channel ABS, gas-charged pro-link rear suspension, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), and Honda RoadSync. At the heart, it has the same 293.5cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine as the XR 300L with identical power output and torque performance.

If we compare the prices of the XR 300L and XR 300 Rally with their arch rivals namely Hero Xpulse 210 and Kawasaki KLX230, Honda must be given a lot of credit for announcing aggressive retail prices. Both the models comfortably undercut the KLX230 (Rs 2.19 lakh) by a fair margin. Hero Xpulse is priced between Rs 1.68-1.77 lakh and hence, the Honda XR 300 duo is marginally expensive than it, albeit with a much bigger engine.
