The Rebel 500 marks Honda’s entry in the middleweight cruiser segment with rivals like Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Kawasaki Vulcan S.
Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the Rebel 500 at a sticker price of Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram) in the country. The bookings for the cruiser bike have started at select BigWing Topline dealerships across the country while the first deliveries are promised from June 2025 onwards. Honda Rebel 500 will only be available in three Indian cities in the initial phase namely Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. The interested buyers can book the cruiser motorcycle digitally at Honda BigWing India’s official website.
Sitting on a tubular steel frame, Honda Rebel 500 rides on ‘bobber’ style fat tyres. It will be sold only in Standard variant in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour scheme while having rider and pillion seat as regular fitment. Other notable styling elements will include all-LED lighting, signature circular headlamp, steeply raked fuel tank, low saddle height (690mm) and fat handlebars.

The suspension duties are carried by telescopic units at front and Showa-sourced dual-shock absorbers at the rear. The stopping power comes from a 296mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The cruiser motorcycle rides on 16-inch wheels which are shod with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear Dunlop tyres as standard. Honda Rebel 500 is equipped with dual-channel ABS and inverted LCD display in terms of features.
Mechanically, the Rebel 500 is powered by an OBD-2B compliant 471cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which generates max power of 45.6 bhp at 8500 rpm and highest torque of 43.3 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission. Honda claims that it has tuned the engine to deliver high torque at low revs to ensure hasslefree commute during city traffic.
