Buddh International Circuit (BIC) Noida is home these days to the 2014 Honda One Make Race. This is the 7th consecutive year that Honda (HMSI) is participating in the ‘MMSC – FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship. The racing rounds started yesterday 21st and will finish up tomorrow 23rd March, 2014.
Honda has leased CBR 250R performance bikes to teams registered at FMSCI. Honda is further supporting participating teams with Original Spare parts worth INR 10,000 and a set of tires replacement each round.
The CBR 150R Novice category, newly introduced this year, hopes to promote racing amongst new riders. These 149.4cc 17.8 PS (17.57 bhp) bikes are modified with imported HRC performance kits for added performance over the road-going version of CBR 150R. The two variants of road-going CBR 150R goes from Rs 1.29-1.30 lakhs on road Delhi.
Additionally, Honda also provides CBR 150R with original spares support on lease for Group C & Group D ‘National Motorcycle Racing Championship’ to registered teams.
Honda ‘Safety Promotion’ initiative is also being held during the Round 1 of Honda One Make Race, 2014. The company claims to already have engaged around 6000 biking enthusiasts, journalists and spectators through various fun, safety riding and gymkhana activities. These activities will give visitors of all age groups the opportunity to get tips on safe riding from trained instructors.
For kids, Honda has the CRF-50; a 49cc single-cylinder dual sports bike for off-road as well on-road riding, specially designed to provide experience and education on two- wheeler riding & road safety.
