Indians have a tendency to splurge during the festive season that is about to begin soon. Honda has decided to exploit this to the hilt, and has launched a Special Edition of the Dream Yuga. They are looking to ensnare young buyers in the entry-level segment with the help of shinier graphics.
Honda also claims that they have managed to see off around 3 lakh units of the Dream Yuga from their assembly lines ever since its launch. That is one of the reasons for the unveiling of this Special Edition of the Dream Yuga. This Special Edition comes with a special dual tone paint scheme and looks snazzier than the one on the earlier Dream Yugas.
The icing on the cake is that Honda is providing the value addition at the older price point. It will cost 45,164/- INR (Ex-showroom Delhi). The launch of this Special Edition comes close on the heels of the incorporation of Honda Eco-Technology in the same bike. The Special Edition too has HET inbuilt into it, and will hence return a claimed fuel efficiency of 74 kmpl.
There are a few optional accessories available with the Special Edition of Dream Yuga. They are :
- Better 3D Honda emblem
- Body matching decal set for front cowl & front fender
- New body colored rear view mirrors
- Chrome finish muffler protector
The Dream Yuga is an important cog in Honda’s plans to dethrone Hero MotoCorp. The bike is powered by a 110 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke engine which makes a useful 8.5 PS. The mill is mated to 4-speed tranny and the addition of HET, as mentioned earlier, leads to improved fuel-efficiency figures. The tubeless tyres (optional), viscous air filter and maintenance free battery significantly increase the durability of Dream Yuga. Honda claims that the motorcycle is comfortable to ride on both smooth roads and difficult terrains. This superb comfort is provided by the light weight yet sturdy frame, longer suspension stroke and comfortable riding posture.
