The company recorded a marginal YoY growth in domestic sales while the exports surged in double-digits on a YoY basis in July 2026
Honda 2-Wheelers India has posted sales of 5.42 lakh units in July 2026 with a 5 percent YoY growth. The brand had retailed 5.15 lakh units during the same month last year. The domestic volumes stood at 4.76 lakh units last month against 4.66 lakh units in July 2025 with a marginal Year-on-Year (YoY) growth of 2 percent. As for the exports, Honda shipped 0.66 lakh made-in-India scooters and motorcycles in July 2026 as compared to 0.49 lakh units exported in July 2025 with a healthy YoY growth of 35 percent.
The YTD (year-to-date) sales in FY27 (April-July 2026) reached 21.54 lakh units with 14 percent YoY growth as 18.90 lakh units were sold during April-July 2025. During these four months, Honda sold 18.89 lakh units in the domestic market while recording 11 percent growth as compared to 16.95 lakh units sold during April-July 2025. The company exported 2.64 lakh units during April-July 2026, registering 35 percent growth over 1.95 lakh units exported during April-July 2025.
“The two-wheeler market witnessed steady demand during the month. Backed by its diverse product portfolio and extensive network of over 7,000 touchpoints across the country, HMSI continues to strengthen customer accessibility and expand its reach across markets,” said the company in an official statement. Honda is presently India’s second largest two-wheeler brand in terms of sales volumes.

Honda recently showcased seven all-new models for the Indian market, which included motorcycles, scooters and EVs. These were Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 cruiser bikes, ADV160 E85 flex-fuel maxi-scooter, XR 300L and XR 300 Rally adventure motorcycles, QC3 electric scooter and CB500 roadster. The company stated that the aforementioned models will be launched in a phased manner within FY27 in India.
Honda Rebel 300 will be launched in both Standard and E-Clutch variants with a 286cc liquid-cooled engine. The entry-level cruiser will directly rival Royal Enfield Classic 350. On a similar note, Honda Rebel 500 will also be available in Standard and E-Clutch variants with a 471 cc twin cylinder liquid cooled engine to rival bigger RE cruisers in India.
Honda CB500 will be introduced in three grades namely Alloy, Spoke tubeless and Spoke tubeless with graphics to lock horns with Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the BSA Gold Star 650 in the Indian market. Honda has made it official that all the seven motorcycles and scooters will be locally produced in India for a highly aggressive pricing.
