Honda has been having a gala time this festive season. During the Navratras, the manufacturer sold a whopping 3.1 lakh units! As per the company, during this 10 day period, sales grew by 19 per cent on a year on year basis. To put it in more precise numbers, that’s a jump of 50,000 units. The best was 90,000 units in a single day in the west region!
The 90,000 units score by the west region is the highest single day sales (on Dusshera) by Honda in 2015. The west was followed by the trio of north, central and south India. India’s strong and ever growing love for automatic scooters, which are often synonymous with the term Activa, continued rising. In fact sales grew by 35 per cent!
Honda informs that CB Shine and Dream Yuga emerged as top sellers in the semi urban and rural markets respectively. Honda informs that the newly launched Livo also performed pretty well and hit the 1 lakh mark within 10 days.
Honda has also tied up with several financial institutions to boost its sales. This includes tie-ups with Muthoot Finance, Andhra Bank and Shri Ram Finance.
It appears that Honda has been going all guns blazing and it would be interesting to see how big can they make the show against the arch rival Hero!
