Honda Dio X-Edition Breaks Cover – New Colours, Features

Honda Dio X-Edition, based on the top-end H-Smart variant, is introduced in new dual-tone colour scheme and modern features

Honda 2-Wheelers India has silently unveiled the X-Edition of the Dio 125cc scooter on its official website in the country. Based on the range-topping H-Smart trim, Honda Dio X-Edition gets a plethora of premium features. It is rolled out with visual enhancements to maintain its uniqueness and individuality against the standard version of the scooter. The Dio X-Edition remains unchanged in terms of features, cycle parts and engine specs. The Dio, sold with both 110cc and 125cc engine options, is second scooter in Honda’s portfolio in India.

First things first, Honda Dio X-Edition is presented in a special dual-tone Pearl Siren Blue and Pearl Deep Ground Gray colour scheme. The basic body colour is dark blue while several elements such as running board, front apron, side body panels and grab rails are painted in contrasting Grey colour. A special mention goes to the alloy wheels which are finished in red colour and the exclusive X-Edition decals.

For those asking, the regular version of Honda Dio 125 comes in Pearl Deep Ground Gray and Mat Marvel Blue Metallic colourway with wheels in golden paint finish. Other single-tone paint schemes include Imperial Red, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Sports Yellow and Pearl Igneous Black. The wheels comes in a Black paint as standard with all the colours mentioned before.

Honda Dio X-Edition

Coming back to Honda Dio X-Edition, it is offered with digital instrument cluster with TFT display, advanced Idling Stop system, and silent start with ACG. Some of the notable features onboard the scooter are Double lid external fuel fill, Passing switch, Open glove box with USB Type-C charging port, Telescopic front suspension, Front disc brake and Side stand engine cut-off switch.

Sitting on an underbone frame, the Dio 125 X-Edition is powered by 123.92cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which develops top power of 8.2 bhp and peak torque of 10.5 Nm. The engine is paired to a CVT unit. The scooter rides on 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels which are fitted with 90/90-12 54J and 90/100-10 53J tubeless tyres, respectively.

Honda has not officially launched the Dio X-Edition in India. We expect the price announcement in the coming few days as sales and bookings commence at the same time across company showrooms in the country.
