Everybody had it expecting Honda to launch a naked version of CBR150R in India and that is when Honda surprised everyone by launching another iteration of a smart looking 150cc bike pretty much on the similar lines of Unicorn Dazzler.
Sharing its 149.1cc motor from Dazzler, Trigger produces 14 bhp of peak power output and 12.5Nm of maximum torque. During the official press unveiling Honda kept the prices of the bike a secret and promised to reveal them when its dealer dispatches start. And here they are, notifying us via a press release.
Honda has kept the starting price of CB Trigger at Rs 67,384 ex-showroom Delhi which is only a difference of Rs 644 from Dazzler’s Rs 66,740 tag. As compared to CB Unicorn, CB Trigger is approx Rs 2700 costlier. At these prices, Trigger will cost close to Rs 75,000 on road in Delhi.
Honda has placed Trigger pretty close to Dazzler, in turn furthering our belief that they might just bid adieu to the slow selling Dazzler gradually as Trigger settles down in the market. Though there are lesser chances of it, but Honda just might want to do a Hero by retaining both the bikes. But in the case of Xtreme and Hunk, they both are differentiated in their looks and appear two different products whereas Trigger automatically, looks to be a replacement of Dazzler!
Though there is no mention of it in the press release, but we guess dealer dispatches have started and the bike must have already reached or should have started started reaching dealerships.
Trigger comes equipped with a lot of features which you expect from a premium 150cc in the current market. As a first in Honda’s motorcycles, it has got optional CBS (Combi Brake System) which enable a user to pump both brakes via the foot lever only. Like other Honda’s 150ccs, Honda claims a mileage of 60kmpl for Trigger as well. It also gets a chunky full digital instrumentation panel which really adds to its sporty quotient.
As of now, Honda is offering CB Trigger only in 3 color options – Black, Meteor Green Metallic and Pearl Siena Red. So if you have been waiting just for the price trigger to trigger so that you can book your Trigger, here is the official trigger!
