Since its launch back in the year 1999, the Honda Activa has been wholeheartedly accepted as a part of the family by us Indians. Over the years, Honda Activa has undergone many changes and the 125cc sibling was the first Indian scooter to accept and comply with the new BSVI emission norms.
Moments back, Honda has announced launch of the new Activa 125 Premium Edition. The scooter is offered in two premium colors – Pearl Amazing White with Matte Magnificent Copper Metallic & Matte Steel Black Metallic with Matt Earl Silver Metallic.
Coming to the design, the Premium Edition gets dual tone body colour extending from the front covers along the side panels to the rear. It gets black engine with black front suspension and comes with body colored grab-rail and a premium graphic package combined with Activa 125 embossing at the rear. Other than these cosmetic changes, there appear to be no difference with the standard model.

The Honda Activa 125 Premium Edition is available in two trims – With Drum Brakes and With Disc Brakes. The drum + alloy variant is priced at Rs 78,725 whereas the disc trim costs Rs 82,280 (prices ex-showroom Delhi). That means, Honda is charging a premium of Rs 2014 on the drum brake variant and Rs 1955 on the disc brake trim.
It continues to be powered by the 125 cc single-cylinder fuel injected engine that churns 8.3 PS of peak power at 6,500 RPM and 10.3 Nm of max torque at 5,000 RPM while being 13% more efficient than the previous BSIV standard engine. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork in the front.
