So, Royal Enfield Himalayan – the original one, set the tone for what has become a remarkable adventure motorcycle in the mid capacity segment. The new 2023 model, that has grown in size, is a brilliant motorcycle – in every sense of the word. Eventual quality for the production bikes is the only thing that remains to be tested.
With a big leap in technology, also came a major price increase. The Himalayan, which had made its mark in the Rs 2 Lakh price band, was introduced at around Rs 2.7-2.8 Lacs – and that was introductory too. And the new year has brought with it – the first ever price hike for the new, bigger Himalayan 450.

In fact, if the price hike would have been uniform, the motorcycle would have touched or exceeded that barrier as well – for the top variant. These are the ex-showroom prices, and the eventual on-road prices would be close to Rs 3.5 Lac mark.
