Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition can be booked at a fully refundable amount of Rs 10,000 on the company’s website
Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition at a sticker price of Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Presented in a goldfish silver colour with Dakar rally inspired graphics, Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition can be booked at a fully refundable amount of Rs 10,000 on the company’s website. The Jaipur-based two-wheeler manufacturer had recently discontinued the Xpulse 200T from the domestic market as it is gearing up to introduce the all-new Xpulse 210 which debuted at the EICMA 2024 in Italy last month.
Talking about the styling, the Pro Dakar Edition flaunts the Dakar rally logo at the fuel tank in form of a sticker while the side panels boast of special graphics. The body panels are carried over from the regular version of the Xpulse 200. The suspension duties are helmed by adjustable telescopic forks with 250 mm travel at front. The bike comes with three modes of ABS for the rider namely Road, Off-Road and Rally.
The Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition has a ground clearance of 270 mm while it rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels. As for braking, it gets disc units at front as well as rear. Mechanically, it will be powered by the same 199.6cc air/oil-cooled petrol engine which generates maximum power of 18.9 bhp at 8,000 rpm and highest torque of 17.3 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Pro Dakar Edition is nearly Rs 3,000 more expensive than the standard Xpulse 200. The deliveries of this new variant are expected to commence in the next few days in the country. Hero Motorsports Team will participate in the 2025 Dakar Rally which will begin from Jan 3 in Saudi Arabia. It appears that Hero has launched this special variant right ahead of the Rally for the enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp is all set to unveil at least four new motorcycles at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January. It will showcase the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250R, Karizma XMR 250 and the facelifted Mavrick 440. All these bikes had their global debut at the EICMA in Nov 2024. The company is believed to be launching these new models in a phase-wise manner in India in 2025, starting with the Xpulse 210.
Speaking about the Hero Xpulse 210, it is packed with the Karizma’s 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine. It is entirely possible that the Xpulse 200 4V could be sold alongside the Xpulse 210 in order to offer more choice to the buyers.
