Hero Vida VX2 Teased Ahead of Official Launch – Report

The Vida VX2 electric scooter will be positioned below the V2 range as it will be presented as a highly affordable family-centric model.

Hero MotoCorp will launch a new affordable electric scooter on July 1, 2025 in the Indian market. However, it was already leaked a few days back with clear images emerging from a company dealership. Now, the Jaipur-based two-wheeler brand has officially teased the upcoming Vida e-scooter, giving a glimpse of its styling and colour options. It will be christened as Vida VX2 while available in three trims in the form of Lite, Plus and Pro. The Vida VX2 will be positioned below the V2 range with a starting price of around Rs 65,000 (ex-showroom).

Vida VX2 will share cycle parts, features and battery pack with the V2. The designers at Hero have made a few distinguishable styling changes in the VX2 as compared to the V2. It has been given a rather simplistic and plain appearance while the V2 comes with an edgy and angular design language. The new electric scooter will be presented as a family-oriented model.

Since the VX2 will be a mass market budget friendly electric scooter, several features seen in the Vida V2 will not be available with it. It will miss out on digital key, bigger TFT touchscreen display screen, and split-seat setup among others. The switchgear will also be different than that of the V2. However, other hardware and components will be carried over from the V2.

It will borrow the battery pack and electric motor from the Vida V2 in the same variant hierarchy. The base Lite trim could get the 2.2 kWh battery with a range of around 70-80 km on a single charge. Vida VX2 is basically the rebadged version of Hero’s global model, the Vida Z, which was also showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January.

The Hero Vida VX2 electric scooter was spotted in Matte Yellow paint scheme last month. It had the ‘VX2’ badges at the side panels, thereby confirming that it will indeed be called by this name. Some of the notable features expected in the upcoming VX2 electric scooter are all-LED lighting, front disc brake and dual-tone 12-inch alloy wheels.

Hero Vida V2 is priced between Rs 74,000 – 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The VX2 is likely to be priced in a range of Rs 65,000 – 1 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of Ola S1 Z, Honda QC1 and Bajaj Chetak 2903 in the Indian market. It will also face competition from the upcoming TVS and Ather e-scooters which are expected to launch in the coming 3-5 months in India.
