Hero Vida V2 Electric Scooter Launched, Price Starts at Rs 96,000

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Vida V2 range of electric scooters in the Indian market. The V2 range comprises of three variants namely Lite, Plus and Pro which are priced at Rs 96,000, Rs 1.15 lakh and Rs 1.35 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. Hero Vida V2 e-scooters are introduced with three removable battery packs which can be charged using the standard home chargers. In addition, it can also be charged at the 3100+ fast charging stations and 500+ service centres across the country.

Hero Vida V2 is offered in two new color schemes namely Matte Nexus Blue-Grey and Glossy Sports Red. The e-scooter comes with four ride modes in the form of Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom (only with Pro). Some of the prominent features on-board include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle telematics and battery state-of-charge (SoC). Furthermore, a few premium bells and whistles are also there like cruise control, re-gen braking and keyless entry.

Hero Vida V2 comes equipped with an IP-67-rated portable battery pack in three configurations: 2.2 kWh (Lite), 3.44 kWh (Plus), and 3.94 kWh (V2 Pro). The company claims that the battery can be charged upto 80 percent in less than 6 hours by the home charger.

The battery pack is linked to a swingarm-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor which delivers power output of 8 bhp and torque performance of 25 Nm. The V2 Lite has a top speed of 69kmph while the V2 Plus can clock 85kmph followed by the V2 Pro which can touch 90kmph. The range-topping Pro variant of the e-scooter does the 0-40kmph sprint in less than 3 secs.

The Vida V2 Lite returns an IDC range of 94 km on a single charge. The V2 Plus mid-variant gets a range of 143 km when fully charged. Last but not the least, the V2 Pro has a range of 165 km on a full charge. Hero is offering a 5-year or 50,000 km vehicle warranty on the V2 range of electric scooters. The battery pack also comes with a 3-year or 30,000 km standard warranty.

Hero Vida V2 Lite, due to the sub Rs 1 lakh pricing, will directly rival TVS iQube 2.2 and Bajaj Chetak 2903 in the Indian market. The brand is gradually enhancing its presence in the country by opening dealerships in more and more cities.
