Hero Splendor+, Passion+, Vida VX2 125 Million Editions Launched

Hero MotoCorp has crossed the sales milestone of 125 million units internationally and hence, it has rolled out the special edition models of the Splendor+, Passion+ and Vida VX2

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler brand, is celebrating the sales milestone of 125 million units globally. Hence, in order to commemorate this momentous occasion, it has rolled out the special 125 million editions of the Splendor+, Passion+ and Vida VX2. For the unversed, Hero began its innings nearly 41 years back in 1985 by joining hands with Honda in a joint venture called Hero Honda Motors. The JV started the production of CD100 in the Indian market as its first two-wheeler model and since then, despite the joint venture being dismantled a few years back, Hero has never looked back.

Hero Splendor+ 125 Million Edition

Hero’s highest-selling model for more than the last three decades, the Splendor+, is an entry-level commuter motorcycle offered in the 100cc segment. Hence, it has been deservingly honoured with the 125 Million Edition which comes in an unique Grey paint scheme. The new colourway is flanked by modern graphics which come in Black, Brown and Gold colours.

The special edition model also gets a 3D plaque on the fuel tank with a ‘125M’ logo to indicate that it is indeed the Splendor 125 Million Edition. There is no change in features, cycle parts and engine as the 125 Million Edition retains them from the regular model. The new Grey colour is inspired by the Nardo Grey paint option which a lot of auto brands are offering these days with their two-wheelers.

Hero Passion+ 125 Million Edition

Hero Passion+, identical to the Splendor+, is an entry-level commuter motorcycle which comes with a 100cc engine. While the Splendor nameplate came into existence in 1994, Hero Passion was born in 2001. So, it has been more than two decades since the Passion has been on sale in the Indian market. Hence, the Jaipur-based brand deemed it fit to roll out the 125 Million Edition of the Passion+ as it is one of the foremost contributors in the brand’s sales success story across the globe.

The Passion+ 125 Million Edition gets identical visual updates as the Splendor+ special edition. It too retains the features, cycle parts and engine from the standard version of the motorcycle. Hero has not shared the price of the 125 Million Edition, but we expect it to be, more or less, the same as the regular variant on which it is based on.

Hero Vida VX2 125 Million Edition

The Vida VX2 is Hero’s latest electric scooter as it was launched earlier this year in July. Being the brand’s entry-level e-scooter, it comes with Battery-as-a-Service (Baas) subscription model and detachable battery pack. Though, unlike the 125 Million Editions of the Splendor+ and Passion+, it doesn’t get the new Grey colour, but the 125 3D plaque is very much there on the front apron to signal its special edition stature.
