The flex fuel versions of the Splendor+ and HF Deluxe can run on ethanol-blended petrol with ethanol content ranging from 20% (E20) to 85% (E85)
Hero MotoCorp has introduced the flex fuel versions of two of its highly popular and best-selling motorcycles in the Indian market. The Splendor+ flex fuel and HF Deluxe flex fuel are launched at price points of Rs 82,810 and Rs 72,792, respectively. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Delhi. The launch event in New Delhi is graced by the august presence of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, and Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
The flex fuel version of the Splendor+ and HF Deluxe can run on ethanol-blended petrol with ethanol content ranging from 20% (E20) to 85% (E85). Presently, E20 petrol, which has 20 percent blending of ethanol in petrol, is sold in India as standard fuel. The Hero HF Deluxe E85 was also showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi.
The Splendor+ flex fuel and HF Deluxe flex fuel are nearly 4 percent more expensive than the stock motorcycles. Both the E85 fuel compliant models have been developed at the company’s state-of-the-art R&D hub, the Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. The flex fuel bikes will be available in Delhi and select regions of Maharashtra in July 2026, followed by nationwide rollout soon thereafter.

Engineered for a clean future, Hero Splendor flex fuel and HF Deluxe flex fuel are equipped with a new fuel pump, secondary fuel filter and calibrated ECU map. Apart from these mechanical updates, the bikes come with refreshed graphics in dual-tone Black and Lime Yellow theme, side stand engine cut-off, tubeless tyres and a new digi-analogue instrument cluster. The power output and torque delivery have gone up by 7 percent and 3 percent, respectively.

For the unversed, a flex fuel vehicle comes equipped with a petrol engine with the ability to run on any blend of petrol and ethanol. It starts with E20 fuel which has 20 percent ethanol while going up to E85 (85% percent ethanol). In the coming months, we will witness the launch of several flex fuel two-wheelers from leading auto brands in the country.
