Hero September 2026 Sales: 12% YoY Growth, 7.66 Lakh Units

Hero MotoCorp continued to be the world’s biggest two-wheeler brand despite witnessing a drop in export business

Hero MotoCorp posted sales of over 7.66 lakh units in September 2026 with a YoY growth of 12 percent against 6.87 lakh units sold during the same month last year. The company sold 7.39 lakh units in the domestic market last month with a YoY growth of 31 percent as 6.48 lakh units were retailed in September 2025. The export business witnessed a steep decline as volumes went down from 39,638 units in September 2025 to 27,330 units in September 2025. However, it registered 5 percent sequential growth over the previous month.

As far as ICE business is concerned, it delivered strong retail volumes of 7,10,436 units in September 2026 as compared to 6,32,253 units during the same period last year with a robust YoY growth of 29 percent. Scooters were the biggest contributors to the overall sales performance as they went on to record a 60 percent YoY dispatch growth.

Hero MotoCorp’s EV arm Vida reported sales of 28,798 units in September 2026 with a healthy double-digit growth of 83 percent. During the month, Vida VX2 powered its way into the Asia Book of Records, becoming the first electric scooter to tow a passenger aircraft over a record distance. Last month, the company also achieved a significant milestone of 1 million customers in Latin America.

Hero MotoCorp launched the Glamour X ABS in Sep 2026 at a sticker price of Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. It has been rolled out in two new colour options namely Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey in addition to the existing two paint shades, which are Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue. Hero Glamour X ABS became the first motorcycle in 125cc segment to feature single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) paired with an Integrated Braking System (IBS).

This is the first time that Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) tech has been offered with the motorcycle. It is already equipped with multiple other safety features which includes Panic Brake Alert and Hazard Lamps. Just so you know, Panic Brake Alert activates fast-flashing LED winkers that instantly alert trailing traffic during emergency braking.
