Hero MotoCorp made a smashing comeback in Aug 2025 by retailing over 5.53 lakh units last month and outnumbering its arch rival Honda.
Hero MotoCorp has reclaimed its position as the country’s numero-uno two-wheeler brand in Aug 2025. In July 2025 sales volumes, it had briefly lost this spot to Honda, but the company was quick to bounce back and recapture what truly belonged to it. The Jaipur-based company sold over 5.53 lakh units last month, while Honda retailed more than 5.34 lakh units followed by TVS which had sales of 4.90 lakh+ units in August 2025. The fourth position was occupied by Bajaj Auto with numbers of 3.41 lakh+ units last month.

We expect the coming couple of months to be the best for two-wheeler sales as the festive season of Diwali is inching closer. Moreover, the GST 2.0 with lower tax on small bikes and scooters will also be rolled out in the coming few weeks. In addition, the monsoon season has been favorable and hence an increase in agricultural demand will also propel higher volumes of two-wheeler sales.
