The domestic sales reported a healthy YoY growth while the export business witnessed a drop in volumes in July 2026
Hero MotoCorp has registered sales of around 5.33 lakh units in July 2026 against 4.50 lakh units during the same period last year with a 19 percent YoY growth. In terms of overall two-wheeler sales (domestic + exports), it was pushed to third place by TVS Motor Company and Honda 2-Wheelers who occupied the first and second positions, respectively. However, as far as domestic market is concerned, Hero MotoCorp emerged as the biggest ICE two-wheeler brand with dispatches of 478,689 units in July 2026 as compared to 401,171 units in the same period last year.
The brand’s all-electric division Vida posted sales of 22,714 units in July 2026. The electric mobility business recently expanded its international footprint by making its debut in Nepal. In addition, Vida also unveiled its refreshed brand identity VOOM while introducing a new range-topping high-capacity 4.4 kWh variant of the VX2 electric scooter in the Indian market.
The export business recorded decline as volumes decreased from 37,358 units in July 2025 to 32,013 units in July 2025. The total domestic sales (ICE + EV) stood at 501,403 units in July 2026 as compared to 412,397 units during the same month last year. The company stated that both the Splendor and new Passion maintained strong retail traction, complemented by robust performance from the Glamour X and upgraded Super Splendor XTEC 2.0.

The motorcycle segment reported sales of 468,565 units in July 2026 against 400,615 units in July 2025. On the other hand, the scooter sales grew from 49,140 units in July 2025 to 64,851 units in July 2026. Hero MotoCorp, in an official statement, said that the scooter portfolio also delivered significant growth, with the Destini and Xoom series leading the category.
Complementing its operational milestones, Hero MotoCorp launched a new marketing initiative for the Hero Destini, titled “Hero Ka Scooter, Scooter Ka Hero.” Centered on imaginative storytelling, the campaign highlights the heartwarming bond between a father and daughter, positioning the Destini as a trusted family partner. The company also strengthened its global presence by officially starting sales operations in Ecuador and Germany.

The brand also laid the foundation stone for its second state-of-the-art Global Parts Center (GPC) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This new facility will serve as a strategic hub for domestic and export spare parts logistics. Furthermore, the expansion aims to scale up annual production capacity at the Tirupati plant—where 100% of Hero MotoCorp’s EV portfolio is engineered and built.
