I remember walking on the road and looking at the beautiful bikes, especially the Pulsars. I love all the models of Pulsars including 135LS. But I always dream to buy Pulsar 220 Fi, Whenever I watch this Beauty on road I thinks that “I wish I could afford it” Then I search its price on Internet and I got surprised by seeing its Price – 77,000, Which is too much for a boy from a middle class family, I study in +2 class and all my friends were having bikes so I also ask my dad to purchase a bike for me and he agreed.
He asks me to choose a bike in the budget of Rs.45,000, It was quite difficult for me to choose a bike in this budget. But finally after dozens of suggestions from my friends and relatives I decided to buy Hero Honda Splendor+. It was not the bike of my choice but I bent my knees in front of my Dad’s decision.
And finally we went to Showroom and buy a Black and Silver Splendor+ at a price of 46,000INR. Today after a month ago I have covered 2,112 Kms on my Bike, But Now I think that my father was right. Now I am a big fan of it, I love all of its features. Now I will share my views on this bike.
Looks
Looks wise this bike is not so eye catching, Looks are not bad but not so good. But its graphics are quite impressive as compared to its price – 46,000INR.
Engine
Hero Honda Splendor+ is having a 100cc air cooled engine, Which is not bad as it is having a good torque of 7.95Nm @ 5000rpm. Its acceleration is quite impressive. And its maximum power is 7.4bhp @8000 rpm.
Wheels
My bike is having Alloy wheels but it comes with option of spoke wheels also. Its tire sizes are,
- Front-2.75 * 18-42P/4PR
- Rear-2.75*18-42P/6PR
Weight and Tank Capacity
This bike is perfect in handling as it is not very light but it is not too heavy like Pulsars. Its tanks capacity is also very good as because of its great mileage of 70Kmpl.
- Kerb Weight – 109Kg
- Tank Capacity – 12 Lts including 1 litre reserve
Transmission
Its gear transmission are just like butter as it is having multiplate wet clutch and 4 speed constant mesh gear box. At the end we came on to conclusion with Cons and Prons
Cons:
- Its Sober looks.
- Absence of disk brakes.
- Bad rider and pillion seating.
Pros:
- Its low price tag – Rs.39,000 onwards
- Good mileage of 70Kmpl
- Good graphics
- Good handling also at high speeds
- Good suspension as presence of telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers.
I think its pros will never end, It is having only 3 cons in my view. I think it is a perfect bike for a middle class boy as Speed is not everything.
And even now after reading my review you want to buy a costly bike like R15, Don’t ask your parents to buy it for you, you have to buy that bike on your own. This is a review and views of a middle class boy. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to comment.
