Hero-Harley X440 T Revealed, India Launch Later This Week

Hero-Harley X440 T is visually different than the X440 as it comes with a redesigned rear three-quarter section

We earlier reported to you that a new Hero-Harley 440 bike will go on sale in Dec 2025 in the Indian market. Now, the brand has officially unveiled the upcoming Harley-Davidson 440 motorcycle, which has been co-developed with Hero MotoCorp. Being christened as Harley X440 T, it will be launched later this week in the Indian market. The first motorcycle to emerge from the Hero-Harley partnership was the X440 roadster under Harley badging while the second model was named Mavrick 440 with Hero badging.

As far as looks are concerned, Harley-Davidson X440 T appears quite different from the standard X440. With a more angular styling, it flaunts bar-end mirrors while having a distinctive rear profile. The rear three-quarter section has been entirely restyled and needless to mention, it looks much better than the X440. It has less space between the fender and the rear wheel.

The X440 T will be available in four colour schemes. The company hasn’t released the pics of the front fascia as perhaps, it is quite identical to the regular X440 except for the bar-end mirrors. Some of the notable features onboard the new bike could include ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes, switchable traction control and switchable dual-channel ABS.

However, Harley-Davidson X440 T misses out on cruise control features. Hero recently launched a plethora of new motorcycles in the Indian market in the 125-160cc segment and cruise control was offered with every model – be it the Glamour X 125, be it the Xtreme 125R or be it the Xtreme 160R. Hence, the exclusion of this feature from a premium Harley badging motorcycle is shocking.

At the heart, the X440 T is likely to borrow the same 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled petrol engine as the standard X440 with similar power output and torque delivery of 27 bhp and 38 Nm, respectively. The engine will come paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The official technical specs have not been released in public domain yet by the brand.

The X440 T will share most of the hardware and cycle parts with the standard X440. It will borrow the frame, suspension setup, braking system and wheels among others from the X440. So, rather than calling it an all-new bike, it would be better to term it a new variant of the Harley-Davidson X440.
