Hero MotoCorp shipped 687,220 units in Sep 2025 and registered steady sales growth due to the GST rate cuts and festive season demand
Hero MotoCorp dispatched a total of 687,220 units in Sep 2025 with a YoY growth of 8 percent as it had managed to retail 637,050 units during the same month last year. The Jaipur-based brand launched 12 new models this year in the Indian market, including refreshed versions of its existing products. As per the data available on VAHAN portal, it recorded 3,23,230 registrations last month with a YoY growth of 19 percent. Hero also achieved a tremendous sales feat last month by clocking 125 million cumulative two-wheeler production mark.
The steady sales growth due to the GST rate cuts and festive season demand have resulted in higher bookings and enquiries. The company revealed that footfall in showrooms doubled as compared to the festive season last year. In particular, the entry-level commuter motorcycle segment recorded significant traction. Hero retailed 6,26,217 motorcycles and 61,003 scooters in Sep 2025, including the exports.

Hero Vida continued its growth saga with a total of 12,736 registrations on Vahan portal in Sep 2025. The YoY market share witnessed a hike from 4.7 percent to 12.2 percent in the e2w segment. The recently launched VX2 electric scooter with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription model spearheaded this sales success because of its reduced upfront ex-showroom price.

Hero MotoCorp registered the highest ever Q2 dispatch of 111,584 units. It exported 39,638 units in September 2025 with an exceptional YoY growth of 94.8 percent as compared to the same period last year. The home-grown two-wheeler brand launched three new models in key global markets in the form of Hunk 125R, Hunk 160 and HR Deluxe.
The company recently rolled out the 125 Million Edition of three of its models namely Splendor+, Passion+ and Vida VX2. The special edition models of both the commuter motorcycles were presented in a new grey paint scheme with graphics in Black, Brown and Golden colours. In addition, the bikes also had a 3D plaque on the fuel tank with a ‘125M’ logo.

On the other hand, the Vida VX2 didn’t get the Grey colourway but it flaunted the 125 3D plaque on the front apron. Hero MotoCorp had been ruling the two-wheeler segment for so many decades. It is not only India’s but the world’s biggest two-wheeler brand. Honda was able to dethrone it from the pole position just a couple of months back, but Hero bounced back quickly and since then, it has been the largest two-wheeler brand.
