Buying a Hero two-wheeler is now simpler. The country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has commenced bookings of its line-up via its own official website. The Gurgaon based manufacturer has already been selling its products in association with the e-commerce site Snapdeal.
The tie up with Snapdeal, which has already been 18 months old and has seen a movement of 5.2 lakh units so far, will continue to run along with this latest venture. Manufacturers, especially the players in the two-wheeler industry, have been steadily moving towards increasing their presence in the online market space.
Hero assures that the warranty facilities, service stations and delivery process will remain the same as the traditional dealership units. The online booking process can be fulfilled by feeding in some necessary details and making a payment of Rs 5,000. Customers will then be initiated about delivery details from the company and can pick up the vehicle from the nearest dealership.
The company has also recently appointed Mr Malo Le Masson as the Head of Global Product Planning. Before this he was designing and aligning products at Infiniti, the premium car brand owned by Nissan.
