The company achieved a double-digit YoY growth in May 2026 as Glamour 125 emerged as the fastest-growing model with 2436 percent YoY growth
Hero MotoCorp sold over 5.36 lakh units in May 2026 and continued as India’s leading two-wheeler brand with a double-digit YoY growth of 10 percent in the domestic market. It had retailed more than 4.88 lakh units during the same month last year. The MoM sales grew just by 1 percent as around 5.32 lakh units were sold in Apr 2026. Hero Glamour made staggering comeback with a YoY growth of 2436 percent as a total of 23,103 units were sold in May 2026 against just 911 units in the same period last year.
The Splendor was the top-selling model with sales of 3,33,727 units in May 2026 with a YoY growth of 14 percent as compared to 2,91,708 units sold in May 2025. On the other hand, the sales of the Super Splendor declined from 18,627 units in May 2025 to 14,388 units in May 2026 with a YoY de-growth of 23 percent. So, as we can see, the combined sales of the Splendor nameplate stood at around 3.48 lakh units.
The HF Deluxe, Hero’s entry-level commuter motorcycle, witnessed a massive setback last month as monthly sales went down from 1,07,768 units in May 2025 to 66,722 units in May 2026 with a steady YoY decline of 121 percent. Two Hero models, which registered a triple-digit YoY growth were the Vida e-scooters and Xoom at 141 percent and 625 percent, respectively.

The sales of Vida electric scooters also increased from 8,361 units in May 2025 to 20,130 units in May 2026. The MoM numbers too increased by 24 percent as Apr 2026 sales stood at 16,291 units. Vida emerged as the fourth largest electric two-wheeler brand in May 2026 by racing past Ola Electric and lost out to Ather Energy for third spot by a few hundred units.
Hero Passion YoY sales declined marginally by 2 percent with 16,462 units retailed in May 2026 as compared to 16,763 units in May 2025. The Xtreme 125R also reported a decline in retail volumes by 9 percent on a YoY basis as 15,038 units were sold last month against 16,602 units in May 2025. However, the Xoom recorded a triple digit YoY growth at 625 percent with 7,459 units sold in May 2026 as compared to 1,029 units in May 2025.

Hero’s entry-level scooter Pleasure clocked YoY de-growth of 9 percent with 7,395 units sold in May 2026 against 8,128 units in May 2025. On the other hand, the Harley-Davidson X440, produced locally by Hero at the Jaipur facility, witnessed YoY sales growth of 126 percent. The Xtreme 160 and Xpulse 200 sales surged in May 2026 while the Xtreme 250 and Karizma volumes came down heavily last month.
