Yamaha motorcycles and scooters in the country will be cheaper by up to Rs 17,581 from Sep 22, 2025 as the GST 2.0 comes into effect.
Yamaha India has announced price reduction across its entire model line-up in the country. Yamaha motorcycles as well as scooters will be cheaper due to the lower GST of 18 percent as compared to earlier tax slab of 28 percent. The company stated that its two-wheeler range will see a price cut between 7,759-17,581, depending upon the particular model. The revised pricing will come into effect from Sep 22, 2025 and hence the Japanese brand asked the buyers to initiate bookings at an early stage to avail these price cut benefits ahead of the festive season.
Speaking on the development, Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group said, “We would like to thank the Government of India for the timely reduction in GST on two-wheelers. This step will provide a strong boost to the two-wheeler demand during the festive season. By making two-wheelers more affordable, it will not only benefit customers directly but also stimulate overall consumption and create positive momentum for the industry. At Yamaha, we are pleased to pass on the full benefit of this reduction to our customers across India.”
