TVS has reduced the prices of its entry-level commuter motorcycle (100-125cc) and scooter range due to the recent GST reforms in the country
TVS Motor Company has slashed the prices of its commuter motorcycle and scooter range by up to Rs 9,600 in the Indian market. This price reduction has taken place due to the implementation of GST 2.0, under which scooter and motorcycles with engine capacity below 350cc have been taxed at 18 percent from the earlier 28 percent.
Hence, TVS has decided to pass these benefits directly to the buyers on models like Jupiter 110, Jupiter 125, Ntorq 125, Ntorq 150, XL 100, Radeon, Sport, Star City, Raider and Zest.
Starting with TVS XL 100, it has seen the least reduction in price by Rs 3,854 as it will now be sold at Rs 43,900 instead of Rs pre-GST 2.0 price of Rs 47,754. Up next, the entry-level commuter motorcycles namely Radeon and Sport have become cheaper by Rs 4,850 and their revised price stands at Rs 55,100 as compared to the earlier price of Rs 59,950.

TVS Zest, the brand’s entry-level scooter model, sees a downward revision in price by Rs 6,291 which translates into a new price of Rs 70,600 in place of the existing Rs 76,891. Talking about the Jupiter 110 and Jupiter 125, the duo witnessed a price cut by Rs 6,481 and Rs 6,795, respectively, with revised prices standing at Rs 72,400 and Rs 75,600.

TVS retails two models in the 125cc commuter segment in the form of the Star City and Raider. The brand has slashed the price of these motorcycles by Rs 8,564 and Rs 7,125 and hence bringing it down to Rs 72,200 and Rs 80,500, respectively. The Ntorq 125, the most popular TVS scooter and arch rival to Honda Activa, has become more economical by Rs 7,242 with a new starting price of Rs 80,900.
Last but not the least, the recently launched Ntorq 150, has become more affordable by Rs 9,600 as the new ex-showroom price stands at Rs 1.09 lakh as compared to previous price of Rs 1.19 lakh. This price revision makes it the most value-for-money model in the high-performance scooter segment which also has the likes of Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155.

A few days back, TVS had released the revised pricing of its Apache 310 range post the announcement of GST 2.0 in the country. The brand had also shared the revised pricing of the Ronin recently. TVS has benefitted the most by the introduction of GST 2.0 as its entire model line-up comes with engine capacity below 350cc.
